No. If you've never dived, our one-day Scuba Discovery class ($100) gets you into the ocean for your first dive, and our snorkeling & glass bottom boat tour ($35) needs no experience at all. If you'd like to be certified, ask about our SDI Open Water course.

You need to be in good health with no medical conditions that could stop you from diving, and have some comfort level in the water. You don't need to be an Olympic swimmer, but being able to swim is a must.

Our prices include full equipment rental and a dive guide, with no hidden fees. The Open Water course price also covers e-learning materials, a dive computer, instruction and certification fees. Prices are based on single-person reservations, so contact us for reduced pricing if you're diving with a buddy, in a small group, or with your own equipment.

Most of the pool training happens on day one, followed by two days of open water dives with two training dives each day. In-water training can be done in as little as 3–4 days, and the days don't have to be consecutive. If you start with a Scuba Discovery class, we'll deduct what you paid from the Open Water course price.

We plan to dive two to three times daily, Monday through Saturday, meeting at 9am at the dive center. Expect to finish around 1pm if you make two dives. Courses and the Scuba Discovery class typically run from 9am to around 2pm.

Absolutely. Divers from all agencies are welcome to dive and continue their education with us. You can also take an SDI Advanced, Specialty, Rescue or Divemaster course, and hold certifications from different agencies at the same time.

We were an Authorized PADI Dive Resort until January 2022, when we affiliated with SDI – Scuba Diving International, because we feel its philosophies align better with how we operate. Both agencies are governed by the RSTC and both licenses are recognized worldwide.

Expect spider crabs, flamingo tongues, yellow tail snappers, sergeant majors, parrotfish and wrasse, and we often find seahorses, nudibranch and turtles. Please don't come expecting tiger sharks and manta rays — what we offer is nice, easy, pretty diving minutes from the beach. Whales pass through Sosua Bay between December and March.

It's a family excursion suitable for all ages. If you're not comfortable snorkeling, you can relax on the boat and look at the corals and fish through the glass bottom.
