So here it is the long awaited update regarding the ‘reorganisation’ of Sosúa Beach.
They say that Rome wasn’t build in a day & this certainly is the case when it comes to the propsed construction of 3 plazas here on Sosúa Beach by the government & ministry of tourism.
We’re now at least 1 year into the project & work on the first plaza, which is located more in Charamicos rather than on the beach, is progressing at a snails pace. Construction of the other two plazas is yet to commence & the businesses along the beach are operating as normal.
For those of you heading to the Sosúa area for this 2023 winter period & in the foreseeable future expect the current bars, restaurants & gift shops to be functioning as they have always done.
As stated in our previous post our operation at ‘Superior Dive Sosua’ will not be affected be any changes that may eventually happen to the beach area & we are diving as normal so please come pay us a visit & let’s get wet all over.
Apologies for the somewhat short post but really we don’t have much else to update you on with regards to this project on Sosua Beach.
There are no plans from the government or the ministry of tourism to close Sosua Beach to the public just eventually reorganise, clean up & modernise it.
