Our island served as a jumping off point for trade to and from the New World, and there are shipwrecks rumored to be in the hundreds, the victims of reefs, weather, and pirates. New treasures are still being found, and let's not forget that all the scuba diving is in our bright warm tropical water.
The area is teeming with aquatic life, and depending on the season, you can see whale sharks, humpback whales, and manatees along with all our reef friends. We are actively involved in a project to propagate stag-horn coral. You can help. Over twenty dive sites are within a five to fifteen minute boat ride from our Sosua Bay shop.
